The Sikh Coalition's impact is only possible because of community daswandh (selfless giving). Responding to hundreds of requests for assistance every year, advocating for change and educating society requires significant resources and expertise.

Sikhs have been in America for over a hundred years; however, we're far behind in establishing a support system for helping Sikhs stay strong, and visible in the modern American context.

  • Challenging the U.S. Army to accept Sikhs with their articles of faith intact
  • Building a grassroots movement of qualified Sikhs to deliver professional presentations on Sikhism and the Sikh-American experience
  • Implementing the Workplace Religious Freedom Act to ensure employers can not discriminate against employees, based on their religion
  • Educating millions of students by creating state curriculum inclusive of Sikhism
