Education Program
Our Education Program seeks to create an environment through education where Sikhs may freely practice their faith and where people appreciate the presence of Sikhs in the community. We proactively fight bias and discrimination by spreading awareness about Sikhs. This program is responsible for creating and distributing presentations, videos, and print materials on Sikhs. It is also responsible for nationwide educational projects and coordinating numerous educational presentations in government agencies and schools.

How you can Help
Whether at our kids’ schools, colleges or at our place of work, we can all contribute to raise awareness about Sikhs and quell misinformation promoted by popular media. The Sikh Coalition encourages Sikhs across the country to make presentations, lead informal discussions or share information about Sikh identity and beliefs, hate crimes and bias since 9/11 and other challenges to Sikhs Americas. Proactive measures can help prevent acts of hate and ignorance. Many resources are available for those interested in making presentations.
