The hearing, entitled "Racial Profiling and the Use of Suspect Classifications in Law Enforcement Policy" is before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties. To the Coalition's knowledge, this is first time a Sikh organization has ever testified before the United States Congress on an issue of national significance. The subject of the testimony will be the Sikh experience at airports across the United States. The hearing begins at 2 PM EST/1 PM CST/11AM PST tomorrow, Thursday, June 17 Tune in here to watch a live webcast of the hearing. Please be aware that while the hearing begins at 2 PM EST, the Sikh Coalition is the fifth scheduled witness to testify. The Coalition will continue to fight for Sikh rights wherever that fight may take us. As always, the Coalition encourages all Sikhs to fearlessly practice their faith and stand up for their rights.
