Our Civil Rights Project in Pictures


(New York, NY) April 21, 2008 - Last week the Sikh Coalition released the report "Making Our Voices Heard: A Civil Rights Agenda for New York City Sikhs."  The report chronicles the experiences of over 1,000 Sikhs on their civil rights concerns.

The report's significance lies in its ability to comprehensively document the gaps between the promise of the law and our community's experience. The report then puts forth a Sikh civil rights agenda for policymakers to fill these gaps.
