Our gratitude to all co-sponsors of the petition

At a time when the world is grappling with grief and fear, hundreds of Sikhs and people of color have become targets of hate crimes because of their appearance alone. Release of a video game that incites racism against Sikhs and Dalits by Eidos is completely unacceptable. All the organization listed below lent their support in our fight against racism and bigotry being promoted by the game Hitman 2.

We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Eidos in relation to the removal of all offensive images and content depicting Sikhs on the Hitman 2: Silent Assassin website; Eidos and IO Interactive (the developer) have also agreed to change the existing versions of the game on all platforms currently in general circulation and adapt the next edition of the game, to be published for the GameCube platform, in recognition of Sikh sensitivities.

This effort could not have been a success without the grace of the Guru and without active participation of all co-sponsors. Please visit http://www.sikhcoalition.org/petitioneidos_updates.asp to see how each co-sponsor contributed to the process.
