August 4, 2026 (Nationwide) – The Sikh Coalition invites you to join us for our first-ever virtual conference for educators!
The Mosaic of Light: Chardi Kala & Everyday Courage – Uplifting Sikhi in K-12 Curricula is a virtual professional learning conference designed to help educators explore religiosity, cultural adaptation, and inclusive education in modern classrooms. Through the lens of Sikh experiences, participants will explore culturally responsive teaching and practical strategies for integrating diverse perspectives into K-12 instruction. This conference is targeted towards teachers, but community members interested in how to ensure accurate inclusion of Sikhi in public school classrooms can also join. Ultimately, our goal is to equip all attendees with practical tools to integrate pluralism, adapt curricula for all learners, and create safe, supportive spaces for students of all backgrounds.

The conference will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM ET. Held during National Bullying Prevention Month, this virtual conference will provide educators with actionable strategies and resources to strengthen religious literacy, address bias, and further their efforts to create inclusive and supportive learning environments for Sikh students. Attendees will hear from expert speakers on themes of religiosity, cultural adaptation, and inclusive education in K-12 classrooms.
