September 30, 2026 (Nationwide) – In exactly ten days, the Sikh Coalition’s first-ever virtual conference for educators, The Mosaic of Light: Chardi Kala & Everyday Courage – Uplifting Sikhi in K-12 Curricula, will bring together teachers from across the country to explore religiosity, cultural adaptation, and inclusive education in modern classrooms.

Taking place on October 10, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM EDT, this virtual conference will explore how we can create supportive learning environments for all students.

There is still time to register! Reserve your spot now.

Throughout the afternoon, you will hear from educators and experts who will share their experiences, insights, and practical strategies for creating classrooms where every student feels seen, valued, and supported. Our hope is that attendees will leave this conference with fresh perspectives and practical resources that can be utilized in the classroom.

Here is a preview of what we have planned:

  • Keynote Address – Dr. Tim Hall
  • Exploring Sikhi Frameworks and Religion Today – Dr. Simran Jeet Singh
  • Instruction & Adaptation Across preK-12: Common Core compliance and special education considerations – Melody Mann
  • Safe Spaces: Creating Inclusive Atmospheres in Education – Dr. Harpreet Kaur Dhir
  • Panel Discussion: Faith Forward: Understanding the Power of Culture, Community, and Identity – Dr. Kavita Kaur Atwal, Dr. Harshdeep Singh Nanda, Dr. Sonny Singh Partola, and Ruth M. Youn

If you know an educator who should attend on October 10, please forward this email to them; anyone with questions can reach out to education@sikhcoalition.org. This conference is targeted towards teachers, but community members interested in how to ensure accurate inclusion of Sikhi in public school classrooms are welcome to join.

As always, the Sikh Coalition urges you to practice your faith fearlessly.
