This first-ever back to school toolkit is designed to bring together critical resources to make classrooms a more safe and inclusive space for Sikhs.

This toolkit includes educator-specific resources (an educator’s guide, lesson plans, and readings lists) that we encourage you to share with your schools. It also includes a parent-specific section for tools you can use in the classroom to raise awareness as well as anti-bullying and legal resources.

Our priority is to ensure that Sikh children, like all other students, are safe in their classrooms and school curriculums accurately reflect the diversity of our communities. This toolkit is meant to empower parents and youth to further engage with educators in our pursuit of this goal.
