This first-ever back to school toolkit is designed to bring together critical resources to make classrooms a more safe and inclusive space for Sikhs.

This toolkit includes educator-specific resources (an educator’s guide, lesson plans, and readings lists) that we encourage you to share with your schools. It also includes a parent-specific section for tools you can use in the classroom to raise awareness as well as anti-bullying and legal resources.

“Our education work is rooted in proactively ensuring that Sikh identity is normalized in schools so Sikh students are seen, understood, and respected in their learning environments. This toolkit equips families, students, and educators with the tools to advocate for classrooms where Sikh history, identity, and experiences are meaningfully represented and where Sikh inclusion is the standard, not the exception.”
