Amandeep Singh Sidhu currently practices law as an associate in the Trial Department of the DC branch of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. In addition, he serves on the Firm’s Racial and Ethnic Diversity and Pro Bono & Community Services Committees. He received his undergraduate degrees in Economics and Government from the College of William & Mary, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law. In 2005, he received the Virginia State Bar Oliver White Hill Law Student Pro Bono Award and the University of Richmond School of Law’s Nina R. Kestin Service Award. He has been involved with the Sikh Coalition’s efforts since its inception in 2001, serving as Regional Director of the Southeast chapter, and as the organization’s pro bono counsel. Most recently, he assisted the Coalition in obtaining historic religious accommodations for two Sikh U.S. Army recruits.
