Deepak, a native of Brampton, Ontario, has practiced immigration law since 2015. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients in removal proceedings.
Deepak has worked extensively in matters involving removal defense (such as asylum), naturalization, family-based immigration, waivers and consular processing. Having represented individuals and a variety of large, mid-size and smaller companies in their immigration matters, Deepak understands the importance of putting the clients interests first.
In 2018, he was asked to join Patel Gaines, LLC (named the 5th fastest growing law firm in the nation by Law Firm 500), as the lead attorney manager for the employment-based immigration department. Deepak consults with corporations and clients on all matters related to corporate and employment immigration, including I-9 compliance.
Deepak provides immigration advice and guidance on a pro bono basis to a number of organizations and individuals, including: The Sikh Coalition, The Sikh Family Center, Tahirih Justice Center, Jakara Movement, Catholic Charities, among others. Deepak currently serves on the Immigrant Affairs Committee for the City of Fresno.
Deepak worked for one the top U.S. immigration law firms in Toronto, Ontario, advising clients on employment-based U.S. immigration matters such as: E, L, H, O, P and TN visas. Afterwards, he accepted a position for a mid-size Texas immigration law firm where he oversaw the removal and deportation department and managed three offices across South Texas.
