Jasmeet Kaur Ahuja is a J.D. candidate at Yale Law School. Previously, she served as the professional staff member responsible for U.S. policy towards South Asia on the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she helped lead congressional efforts to change U.S. Army policy and allow turbans in the military. Before joining the Hill, Jasmeet served as the director of South Asia in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. She began her career in the federal government as a Presidential Management Fellow in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, U.S. Department of Defense. Jasmeet graduated with Honors and Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University where she received her M.S. and B.S. in engineering.
