Julian joined the Sikh Coalition in October 2017 as a Senior Staff Attorney, where he represents victims of hate crimes, bullying, racial profiling, workplace discrimination, and religious rights violations. He has a substantial civil rights law background, having worked on behalf of abused and neglected children at Children’s Rights, and held fellowships with The National Center for Youth Law and the National Quality Improvement Center for Child Representation. During law school, Julian represented parents in Brooklyn Family Court with the NYU School of Law Family Defense Clinic and was an editor of the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy.

Prior to joining the Sikh Coalition, Julian represented indigent clients on trial in Bronx Family court with The Bronx Defenders. Julian worked as a litigation associate at Baker & Hostetler, LLP, where he represented the Trustee for Bernard L. Madoff Securities in the effort to recover billions of dollars for Ponzi scheme victims, variety of commercial clients, as well as a class of people underserved by a state-run mental health system.

Julian holds a Juris Doctor from NYU School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in Philosophy from Yale College. He enjoys tennis, cycling, and visual art.
