Suneet Kaur joined the Sikh Coalition’s Board in 2010. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, she works to provide care for the local indigent and underserved population. In addition she developed and maintains responsibility for outpatient medicine curriculum for the internal medicine residency program.
Suneet has a strong background in community engagement and public service, specifically her work at an orphanage near Chandigarh, Punjab while enrolled in the Change Across Borders program through the Fellowship of Activists to Embrace Humanity (FATEH). Currently, she teaches children various aspects of the Sikh religion, including kirtan and the Punjabi language, at her local Sunday school and volunteers at the semiannual Health Fair held at Gurdwara Sahib Charlotte.
Suneet holds a B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MD from Albany Medical College. She also has a Masters in Health Science Research from Duke University.
